I am a PASSIONATE special education teacher who is determined to improve special education advocacy and instructional practice through my own teaching experiences and professional research.  I want to share my successes, failures, and the information I learn along the way.  I hope as an educational community we can shed light on what needs to be improved in special education, and facilitate those changes together. In addition, I want to celebrate successes and share what works in special education. WE are all in this TOGETHER!

As a special educator, I strive to create an educational experience where students feel empowered in their learning. I believe that when students have the freedom to explore their passions and ideas, they are more motivated to learn. My classroom will always be a place of acceptance, and an environment where each child will be reminded daily of the power they possess to succeed. In my classroom ALL learners are created equal.

As a graduate student, I focus my research and professional development in the area of improving special educational practices. My areas of  concentration include personalized learning experiences, growth-mindset instruction, and improving inclusive practices throughout public education.

I will strive to be a lifelong learner, collaborator, an individual who respects diversity and professionalism, and finally an innovator in education.
